Celebrate Recovery
“In Surf City, USA”
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you.’ Therefore, I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me. For this reason, I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.”
2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 (NCV)
Greetings,
This is a reminder that your family at Celebrate Recovery would like to see you this Friday, November 7, 2008. We have another exciting meeting planned, and your participation will help everyone attending!
So, please, “suit up and show up.”
Please take a minute to pray for those in recovery, and then review our schedule for another celebration in recovery meeting:
· Dinner & Fellowship are from 6:00-6:50 pm: Special Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner: Diana & Darran will make a Turkey Dinner!
We also would like to have some fellowship time with you, so please come and join us for dinner!
Remember, we are looking for volunteers to help us organize, cook and commit to a Friday night in service.
Join in on the fun… Join the Dinner Team!
· JohnV gets the Celebration started with some calming words of wisdom, and maybe a joke or two.
· Jim C will lead us in a special Worship set with praises of gratitude for all that Our Father has done for us. Get ready for an incredible worship time as Jim reminds us that it is not about us, but about Him.
· Sue E will lead us with the 12 Steps & Biblical Comparisons.
· Darran K will keep us informed with announcements, while reminding us “what grateful people are…”
· Thor E will be giving out “hugs & chips.” Everyone needs a hug and Thor loves the hugs & handing out the sobriety “chips.”
· Tom S will teach Lesson #22 GRATITUDE
· Jim F will close with the Serenity Prayer.
· Men and Women small groupings are from 8:00-9:00 pm… “You really do make a difference!” Remember, “If you can’t share about it, it owns you!”
· New: Prayer Time in Room G23 Immediately after Small Groups.
· Everyone is welcome to join us at Café 12 from 9:00-9:45 pm. Café 12 offers fellowship time with AA quality hot coffee, dessert, music and more time to unwind.
