Hometown: Born and raised on an Iowa farm.
Family Info: Married to Paul with sons Jeff, John and James.

How did you come to Grace?
I'm a life-long Lutheran and this church was only one mile from our home when we moved to Huntington Beach, so it was basically a "no brainer."

What is your role at Grace?
I coordinate the DISCIPLE course and the Bible Bookmark program. I serve as an Elder on the Church Council. I'm also a co-director on the Mercy Ministries team.

What is the best part about your role?
I love seeing people get excited about God's Word and being transformed by it.
As for Mercy Ministries, I feel called to bring the concerns of mercy and justice to our people at Grace and provide an avenue for us to respond.

Walking while drinking coffee with friends. Traveling. Reading.

Yosemite and Hawaii.

Good jokes, funny movies, Garrison Kellar on "Prarie Home Companion"

Seeing my friends suffer.

What is a future goal to achieve within the next five years?
To see several hundred Grace members be transformed through the DISCIPLE bible study.
For myself, to continue to travel and see the world and remain healthy and strong enough
to maximize the opportunity.
