Podcasting Instructions
What's a podcast?
A podcast is a FREE method of distributing files via an XML feed that you subscribe to.
It allows your computer to automatically download audio MP3 or video files from our weekend
celebration gatherings
as they become available.
You do not need to own an iPod. Our podcasts can be listened or watched on your computer or any portable player that supports MP3. However, the iPod integration with iTunes is superb and highly recommended.
Once you've subscribed (free), our messages and videos will be delivered to you regularly.
The software will do all the work, reaching out to this site all the time,
automatically downloading the files
when they are posted.
You will now control when you want to
hear the messages (when you're exercising, walking the dog, etc...)
or when you want to watch testimonies, event highlight, messages and short films shown at our services.
If you don't want to do true podcasting, you can still download messages and videos individually by going back
to the MESSAGE page or VIDEO page and clicking the specific file you want to download.
Podcasting: How do I do it?
It's pretty simple:
-
Click here to download iTunes onto your computer.
iTunes is a cross-platform (works on Windows and Mac OS) program that allows you to subscribe for FREE to podcast feeds.
-
Once you have successfully installed iTunes, you want to subscribe to our podcast feed.
-
You may subscribe in iTunes to our Message Podcast by clicking here.
-
Once you have chosen to subscribe to our podcast, iTunes will download it right to your computer. You can hook your iPod to your computer and it will play these downloaded files.
-
Each week we will update the podcast with the new weekend message or video. You will have access to that simply by right clicking on our podcast in your iTunes podcast list and choosing "Update Podcast."
-
If anything doesn't work or you can't figure out what to do, try one of the options in the iTunes Help menu, or choose the "Report a Concern" option at the bottom of the page.
- We like to know you're out there. Send us an e-mail sometime to tell us where you are listening from!
