Ray Anderson's Advanced Theology Class

Anderson graduated from Fuller with a BD in 1959, and from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD in 1972, and has been teaching at Fuller since 1976. He currently holds the position of senior professor of theology and ministry.

Anderson has over 45 years of pastoral and teaching experience. He believes that the practical side of theology should be emphasized and his lectures are informed by years of pastoral counseling. Anderson has published over 20 books, including The Soul of God--A Theological Memoir (2004), The Shape of Practical Theology--Empowering Ministry with Theological Praxis (2001), The Soul of Ministry: Forming Leaders for God's People (1997), and Self Care: A Theology of Personal Empowerment and Spiritual Healing (1995). He is also a contributing editor for the Journal of Psychology and Theology where they make use of his area of expertise, which is writing and teaching about theology, death and dying, contemporary ethical issues, and ministry concerns.
